Carpet — Premium Supply, Expert Installation
Carpet does things hardwood and tile can't. It softens a bedroom. Quiets a basement. Makes a staircase safer. Anchors a family room with comfort you can actually feel. Since 1984, our second-generation family business has been Utah's trusted source for premium carpet — partnering with custom home builders, interior designers, and homeowners on projects of every size and scope.
Still the right choice for the right rooms
Hard flooring has dominated design conversations for the last decade — but carpet hasn't gone anywhere. It's still the right choice for bedrooms, basements, family rooms, theater rooms, stairways, and any space where comfort matters more than minimalism. The conversation isn't carpet vs. hardwood — it's where each one belongs in your home. We help you figure out the answer.
Know your fibers
Picking carpet starts with picking the fiber. Each one has strengths, and the right choice depends on the room, the people, and the pets.
Wool is the original luxury fiber — soft, naturally hypoallergenic, naturally stain-resistant, and naturally insulating. It ages beautifully and lasts for decades. Wool is what shows up in primary suites, formal living rooms, and spaces where heirloom quality matters.
Nylon is the toughest synthetic. Resilient, stain-fighting, and easy to maintain — it's built for the parts of your home that take real abuse. Hallways, family rooms, stairs, kid bedrooms. If a fiber needs to handle real life, nylon is usually the answer.
Polyester offers a soft, comfortable feel with excellent stain resistance and vibrant fade-resistant colors. It's the value option that doesn't feel like a value option — perfect for bedrooms, finished basements, and budget-conscious projects where looks matter.

How we work with builders and designers
Our trade relationships didn't happen overnight. They built up over forty years of showing up on time, sourcing the right product, and installing it cleanly. Custom home builders bring us in for new builds where we coordinate with the rest of the trades and the project timeline. Interior designers spec specific fibers, patterns, and colors and trust us to deliver exactly what the design calls for.
How we work with homeowners
A lot of our carpet calls are families dealing with real life. The basement carpet that's seen ten years of birthday parties. The bedroom carpet that the dog claimed. The primary suite that needs an upgrade after the kids move out. We meet you where the project is — whether it's a single room, a whole house, or a refresh between life chapters.
Forty years, one team
Carpet trends shift. Fibers improve. Manufacturers come and go. The thing that hasn't changed is the way we approach the work. Source from suppliers we trust. Install with the same crews we've worked with for years. Stand behind every project after the install crew goes home.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does carpet last?
Most residential carpet lasts 10-15 years with normal use and good care. Wool can last significantly longer — sometimes 20+ years in well-maintained homes. The biggest factors are fiber quality, foot traffic, and how often it's cleaned.
What's the best carpet for pets?
Look for solution-dyed nylon or polyester with a dense, low-pile construction. Solution-dyed fibers have color built in, so spills and pet accidents won't strip the color when you clean them. Lower pile is easier to vacuum and shows less pet hair.
Wool vs. nylon vs. polyester — which fiber is best?
Different rooms, different answers. Wool is the premium choice for primary suites and formal spaces. Nylon is the durability champion for high-traffic areas. Polyester is the value-and-comfort sweet spot for bedrooms and family rooms. Most homes benefit from a mix.
How long does carpet installation take?
Most projects wrap up in 1-3 days. Single-room replacements often finish in a day. Whole-home installs typically run 2-3 days depending on square footage and prep work.
Can new carpet go over old carpet?
No. Old carpet has compressed padding, hidden moisture, and worn fibers that affect the new install's fit, comfort, and warranty. The old carpet has to come up before new carpet goes down. Our service includes removal and disposal.
Do you do custom rugs and stair runners?
Yes — that's a specialty service. We can turn any broadloom carpet into a custom-bound area rug, hallway runner, or stair runner sized exactly for your space. Check out our Custom Rugs and Stair Runners page for the full breakdown.
