The process

• Coarse sanding — We start with progressively coarser grits to remove the existing finish and surface damage.
• Fine sanding — Progressive fine-grit sanding smooths the wood to a finish-ready surface.
• Stain application (if desired) — If you're changing the color, we apply stain evenly.
• Protective topcoat — Multiple coats of polyurethane or other protective finishes are applied with curing time between each.
• Final inspection and walk-through — We walk the finished floor with you to confirm everything meets standard.
